In 1983 Ferrari introduced the QV (Quattrovalvole) model with 4 valves per cylinder and boosting the power back up to 240 BHP after emissions equipment had adversely affected power output.
As usual the model came in both coupe and targa roof Spyder bodystyles and visually looked identical to it's predecessor apart from some additional cooling louvers on the front lid to aid radiator exhaust air exit, power mirrors, a redesigned radiator grille with rectangular driving lights on each side with rectangular indicators. Options included metallic paint, a deep front spoiler, air-con and wider 16-inch Speedline wheels fitted with Pirelli P7s.
